OpenOffice (RHEL)
OpenOffice hangs if GNU Java is used. Install and configure Sun's Java.
Get OpenOffice from here and install in /opt/openoffice.org.../....
Create symbolic links so that it runs by default:
cd /usr/bin cp -a ooffice ooffice.orig vi ooffice
- #!/bin/sh
- P=`basename "$0"`; P=${P#s}; P=${P#oo}
- exec /opt/openoffice.org2.4/program/soffice -$P "$@"
